This complete definitive series from Hong Kong, issued between 1973 and 1982, features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II based on the iconic design by Arnold Machin. The stamps range in denomination from 10 cents to 20 Hong Kong dollars, with each value rendered in distinctively vibrant photogravure colors. Printed by Harrison & Sons Ltd., the stamps are perforated 15 x 14¼ or 14 x 14½ depending on denomination, and are printed on ordinary paper with the Block CA watermark featuring St. Edward's Crown in upright or sideways layout. The layout includes a floral side panel motif in a complementary color, giving the series a strong visual identity that is both regal and modernist. This series marked a transition to bold, high-contrast design in Hong Kong philately, bridging the colonial aesthetic with contemporary color sensibilities. The set is catalogued as Michel HK 268X–281YII, Scott HK 275–288, Yvert 266–279, and Stanley Gibbons HK 283–296. All values are mint never hinged (MNH), with clean gum and crisp perforations. This complete set is highly desirable, especially with high-denomination stamps such as the $10 and $20 in flawless condition. Estimate "$1000 – 1500".
