This engraved 3 cent stamp from the 1912 Coiling Dragon series was overprinted with 中華民國 (Republic of China) in red Kai-style characters to mark the establishment of the new regime. Printed in grey-green ink, the design centers around the imperial dragon, an enduring national emblem. Produced by Waterlow & Sons Ltd. and released on May 1, 1912, the stamp has variable perforation and no watermark. Despite creases and partial cancellation, the historical resonance and aesthetic detail remain well-preserved.
