Issued in March 1922 during the early phase of Germany’s hyperinflation period, this 25 Pfennig stamp from the “Numerals” definitive series features a bold value design in reddish brown, created by Willi Geiger. Printed in typography at the Reichsdruckerei in Berlin, it is perforated comb 14 x 14¼ and printed on paper with an upright waffle watermark. The stamp measures 22 by 26 mm and was used for standard domestic rates during a time of escalating postal tariffs. Catalogued as Michel DR 180 (Scott DE 164, Yvert DR 163, Gibbons DR 179, Unificato DR 163), this lot comprises a full mint never hinged sheet of 100 stamps with clean perforations, undisturbed gum, and no separations or folds. A well-preserved sheet reflecting the transitional economic pressures of the Weimar Republic. Estimate "$170 – 210"
