This green 50 cent engraved stamp from the Reaper issue of 1913 portrays a lone farmer harvesting rice in the foreground with the Temple of Heaven (天壇) towering in the distance. It represents the agrarian identity central to early Republican China. Produced by Waterlow & Sons Ltd., the stamp was printed in intaglio on unwatermarked paper and has a perforation of 14. It is used, with a bold oval cancellation across the design and a hinge remnant on the reverse.
