This 1946 post-war revenue block from Taiwan features four imperforate gray lilac stamps depicting Dr. Sun Yat-sen, each denominated at 2 Yuan and canceled in blue with the tax seal reading “National Huazhong” (國華中). These fiscal stamps were used for financial or administrative taxation in the early years of restored Nationalist governance following Japanese occupation. Identified as D440, this version lacks the grill embossing found on later issues and is printed on thin unwatermarked paper with full margins on all sides. The stamps are in mint never hinged condition with full gum, showing uniform blue cancels and strong impressions, offering valuable insight into transitional revenue practices and Taiwan’s reintegration under Republic of China authority.
