Issued on October 16, 1923, at the peak of the Weimar hyperinflation crisis, this 10,000,000 Mark stamp is part of Germany’s dramatic “Inflation Series.” Printed in orange-red with a bold numeral value followed by the word “Millionen,” it vividly reflects the collapse of Germany’s currency. Produced by typography at the Reichsdruckerei in Berlin on paper with upright waffle watermark, the stamp measures 22 by 26 mm and is perforated comb 14 x 14¼. Catalogued as Michel DR 318AP (Scott DE 286, Yvert DR 299, Gibbons DR 320, AFA DR 318, Unificato DR 299), this example is a full mint never hinged sheet of 100 stamps with complete original gum, well-centered impressions, and no folds or perforation separations. A striking and historically important artifact from the climax of Germany’s inflation era. Estimate "$230 – 270"
