Issued in August 1922 during the height of the Weimar Republic’s inflationary period, this 75 Pfennig stamp belongs to the “Numerals” definitive series and features a bold value numeral design in dark lilac-ultramarine. Designed by Willi Geiger and printed in typography at the Reichsdruckerei in Berlin, it measures 22 by 26 mm, has comb perforation 14 x 14¼, and is printed on paper with an upright waffle watermark. This issue, catalogued as Michel DR 185 (Scott DE 170, Yvert DR 168, Gibbons DR 184, Unificato DR 168), reflects Germany's urgent need for high-denomination definitive stamps during the early 1920s monetary crisis. Presented here as a full mint never hinged sheet of 100 stamps, with fresh gum, clean perforations, and no separation or folding, it is an excellent preservation of hyperinflation-era philately.
