Issued in October 1921 as part of the German Empire’s “Workers” definitive series, this 60 Pfennig stamp depicts a blacksmith at work, symbolizing industrial labor during the early Weimar period. Designed by Paul Neu and printed typographically at the Reichsdruckerei in Berlin, the stamp appears in dark rose-lilac, measures 22 by 26 mm, and is perforated comb 14 x 14¼. It was printed on paper with an upright lozenge (diamond-shaped) watermark, reflecting Germany’s effort to secure its currency and production amid economic volatility. Catalogued as Michel DR 165 (Scott DE 144, Yvert DR 145, Gibbons DR 160, AFA DE 165, Unificato DR 145), this is a complete mint never hinged sheet of 100 stamps, all with full original gum and no separations or folds. An excellent and rare full-sheet representation of Germany’s labor-themed inflation-era issues. Estimate "$200 – 240"
