Issued in 1911 by the French post in Morocco, this stamp belongs to the “Type Mouchon” series designed by Louis-Eugène Mouchon. The allegorical seated figure holds a tablet inscribed “DROITS DE L’HOMME” (Rights of Man), symbolizing the principles of liberty and justice. Printed in blue and typographed without watermark, the stamp was overprinted in red with “25” and “MAROC” to reflect local Spanish centimos usage in the region. Measuring 20 x 23.5 mm and perforated 14 x 13½, this issue captures a transitional moment in Morocco’s postal and colonial history, where the French influence was asserting itself both culturally and administratively. It is catalogued as Michel FR-MA 32a, Scott FR-MA 33, Yvert MA 32, and Stanley Gibbons FR-MA 35.
