This 7 fen black-gray stamp from Manchukuo's 4th Definitive Issue, released December 5, 1936, depicts the Peiling Mausoleum in Mukden, resting place of the Qing emperor Huang Taiji. Printed by gravure on paper with multiple Chinese character watermark [up] and perforated comb 13 x 13½, this stamp measures 22 x 27 mm. The imagery reflects imperial architecture and national identity as expressed under the Japanese-controlled puppet regime. This block of four is mint never hinged with original gum and strong impression. Listed as Scott 91, Michel CN-MA 81, Yvert 80, Gibbons 87, and China Stamp Society MC88. Estimate "$55 – 70"
