Originally part of the transportation-themed fiscal set depicting aircraft, locomotives, and passenger ships, these stamps were repurposed during the late hyperinflation period with a blue lithographic surcharge denoting the new denomination. Printed without watermark and perforated 12.5, the stamps measure 26 x 23 mm and reflect the economic turmoil and transitional currency conditions of post-war Nationalist China.
