China 1947, mint never hinged lot featuring the overprinted “Restricted for Use in Northeastern Provinces” set on the original Sun Yat-sen series printed in lilac pink. Issued during the Chinese Civil War, these stamps were overprinted in Shanghai for exclusive use in the Northeast Provinces (Manchuria), reflecting the fractured political and postal landscape of late Republican China. Printed by gravure on unwatermarked paper, the stamps measure 22 x 26 mm and are line perforated 14. The set includes denominations of 100 Chinese dollars, overprinted on Michel China #699–701. Cataloged as Scott N29–31 and N41, Michel CN-IM-NE 53–55, and China Stamp Society CN-IM NE41–43. Bright, fresh color and full original gum across the set, in post office condition.
