Issued in July 1946 for use in the Northeastern Provinces of China, this full sheet of 50 mint never hinged stamps depicts Dr. Sun Yat-sen in a classic central portrait framed by pearls and the Kuomintang emblem. Printed by gravure in blue on unwatermarked paper, the stamp measures 23.5 x 26 mm and is line perforated 14. As part of the first Central Print Martyrs Issue adapted for regional use, it was released during the Nationalist government’s brief post-war consolidation in Manchuria before Communist control. The stamps were issued without gum, a characteristic of many provisional issues during this period. This full sheet is in excellent condition, with intact selvage markings, corner numbers, and sharp impressions throughout. It reflects both Sun Yat-sen’s enduring symbolic power and the strategic importance of northeastern China in 1946. Scott NE19. Estimate "$130 – 160"
