China 1945, mint never hinged block of four featuring the 1 Chinese dollar Martyr of the Revolution issue with black Mengkiang overprint, released during Japanese occupation in July 1945. Printed in brown-orange by gravure, the stamp honors revolutionary figures and was repurposed for use in the Meng Chiang puppet regime through localized overprints. Measuring 22 x 24 mm and unwatermarked, this occupation issue reflects wartime adaptations of nationalist imagery for regional control.
