China 1945 block of four from the CNC Green Surcharge series, issued during the closing phase of Japanese occupation under the Wang Chin-Wei regime. This issue features a triple-tiered surcharge: 1 Chinese dollar on 200 dollars on the original 1 dollar base stamp. Printed in orange using gravure printing on unwatermarked paper, with line perforation 12½. The portrait shows the prominent collaborationist leader Wang Chin-Wei, a controversial figure who aligned with Japan during the Second Sino-Japanese War. Designed by Bohumil Heinz, the stamp measures 23 x 26 mm and forms part of an emergency revaluation set amidst rampant inflation and political instability. This mint never hinged block is fresh and well-centered, illustrating the final phase of Japanese-backed postal authority in China before liberation. Cataloged under Michel CN-IM 647, Scott CN-IM 618, Yvert et Tellier CN-IM 526, Stanley Gibbons CN-IM 778, and China Stamp Society CN-IM 990. Estimate "$80 – 100"
