Issued in 1941 by China, this 30-cent airmail stamp features a Junkers F-13 aircraft flying above the Great Wall of China, symbolizing both modern aviation and national heritage. Printed by Commercial Press Ltd. in Hong Kong using gravure printing without watermark, the stamp comes from the 1940/41 Air Mail series. It was released on May 23, 1941, in blue and red shades on unwatermarked paper and shows varying perforation. Thematically, it represents flight, architecture, natural landscape, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The block consists of six mint never hinged (MNH) stamps in excellent condition, with full original gum and no visible faults. The design combines 20th-century technological optimism with national pride, issued at a time when China sought to modernize under immense geopolitical pressure. Scott C34. Estimate "$90 – 120"
