This 1939 issue from China features the Type III portrait of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, identified by the filled collar button and fully lined upper frame. Printed by Chung Hwa Book Co. in Hong Kong, this 2 Chinese cent green stamp represents the second Hong Kong printing and was produced using gravure on unwatermarked paper. The perforation is line 12½, and this complete block of 25 shows full selvage and printer's imprint at top margin. The design reflects both formal authority and national symbolism during the Sino-Japanese War period. Referenced as Michel CN-IM 292III-I, Scott CN-IM 349, Yvert et Tellier CN-IM 259, Stanley Gibbons CN-IM 462, and China Stamp Society CN-IM 434A. The gum is intact and fresh, with no hinges or disturbances, and perforations are clean and intact throughout. The block is in pristine MNH condition and offers excellent centering.
