China 1933, complete mint never hinged set of five stamps from the First London Print of the Sun Yat-sen series, each overprinted with the provincial restriction “Restricted for Use in Szechwan.” Printed in olive green shades by gravure and issued in denominations from 2 to 25 Chinese cents, these stamps were produced in London and overprinted domestically for exclusive circulation within the Szechwan region. This series reflects the fragmented postal authority during Republican-era China, with localized controls amid political instability. Perforation varies across the set. Featuring the portrait of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the revered revolutionary and founding father of modern China, the issue is thematically rich in national symbolism. Cataloged as Scott Szechwan 4–8. This MNH set is in post office fresh condition with full original gum and excellent color saturation. Estimate "$160 – 200"
