The stamp depicts traditional Chinese sailing vessels and was printed in orange using recess printing by the Chinese Bureau of Engraving and Printing (PBMF) on thin paper. The design is part of a commemorative series highlighting national development themes such as railways and maritime trade. This used block of 8 is line perforated 14, measures 22 x 25 mm per stamp, and shows clear postmarks consistent with its period of usage.
