This 3 cent blue green block from the 1923 “Junk, Reaper and Hall of Classics” definitive series represents the Second Peking Print, a hallmark of the early Republic of China’s efforts to establish a national postal identity. Printed by the Chinese Bureau of Engraving and Printing (PBMF) in gravure on thin paper with a line perforation of 14, the design reflects themes of agriculture, trade, and Confucian heritage through its depiction of a traditional junk ship, a farmer with a sickle, and the revered Hall of Classics. This issue is cataloged as Michel CN-IM 191, Scott CN-IM 252, Yvert et Tellier CN-IM 184, Stanley Gibbons CN-IM 313, and China Stamp Society CN-IM 285. The 3 cent denomination was used for standard domestic letters. This mint hinged block of three shows strong color, sharp impression, and even margins, embodying both aesthetic quality and historical resonance. Estimate "$40 – 50"
